Checking Your Destinations for Disease Free Travel

Before I leave on a big trip, I like to check to see if there are any health concerns or disease outbreaks in the area.

You can check the CDC Destinations List for a more thorough review of each country. It gives a complete list of every country, a map, and the type of health risks and diseases that are having an outbreak.

The CDC’s Yellow Book shows all the diseases such as Dengue Fever, Malaria, and other diseases in a map format.

Here’s an Example

Map 5-04 Dengue risk in Africa, Europe, & the Middle East

A little bit of research and preparation goes a long way in having a memorable trip that you’ll remember for your life-time.

Safe Travels!
