
How to get there?
Zion National Park is easily accessible from several cities. The main cities are Las Vegas and Salt Lake City.
From Las Vegas to Zion National Park
Driving By Car:

- Distance: Approximately 160 miles.
- Duration: About 2.5 to 3 hours.
- Route: Take I-15 North from Las Vegas. After about 120 miles, take exit 16 for UT-9 East towards Hurricane/Zion National Park. Follow UT-9 East for about 30 miles to reach the park entrance.
- By Bus or Shuttle:
- Several tour companies offer bus or shuttle services from Las Vegas to Zion National Park. This can be a convenient option if you prefer not to drive2.
- By Tour:
- There are guided tours available that include transportation from Las Vegas to Zion National Park. These tours often include additional stops and guided experiences within the park1.
From Utah to Zion National Park
From Salt Lake City:
Distance: Approximately 300 miles.
Duration: About 4.5 to 5 hours.
Route: Take I-15 South from Salt Lake City. Continue on I-15 South until you reach exit 27 for UT-17 South towards Toquerville. Follow UT-17 South and then take UT-9 East to the park entrance.
From St. George
Regardless if I travel from Las Vegas or Utah, I love staying in the small town of St. George with it’s quaint shops and restaurants. It’s a short drive to Zion in the morning.
Distance: Approximately 40 miles.
Duration: About 1 hour.
Route: Take I-15 North from St. George. Take exit 16 for UT-9 East towards Hurricane/Zion National Park. Follow UT-9 East to the park entrance.
