Moroccan Mint Tea

One of my most memorable moments in Morocco was sipping on Moroccan Mint Tea. This refreshing tea is a delightful blend of sweet and herbaceous notes and is the cornerstone of Moroccan hospitality. The drink dates back to the 18th century when trade routes brought Chinese green tea to Moroccan shores. The taste is a delightful balance of Chinese gunpowder green tea leaves, fresh spearmint, and a generous amount of sugar. The tea is traditionally served in ornate silver teapots and poured from a height into small glasses, creating a foamy crown—a sign of good hospitality.
Here’s an easy recipe that will bring the exotic tastes and flavors of Morocco to your home.
