How to Properly Brush Your Teeth

Start with your upper molars, or your back teeth, on one side of your mouth and work in a clockwise direction. The trick is to angle your toothbrush towards your gum line at a 45-degree angle. Use gentle, circular motions, not straight lines. Be sure to brush the front, back, and top of each tooth to remove plaque. Aim to brush for at least 2 minutes, twice a day. This ensures that you’re giving each section of your mouth the attention it needs. After brushing, rinse your mouth out with water or a fluoride mouthwash to finish. And don’t forget to clean between your teeth once a day with floss or another approved interdental cleaner. It’s like giving your teeth a little extra TLC!
